After a bit of drama last week involving Pete Doherty not turning up to The Libertines London gig, and cancelling their gig in Manchester they’ve released a much bigger UK tour. There tour that they didn’t manage to finish due to a medical emergency - we’re still not entirely sure what happened - was an intimate tour in small venues across the UK. The band have now announced their biggest ever tour where they’ll, hopefully, be playing 7 arenas across the UK. Their most recent album, Anthems for doomed youth came out 11th September. The night the album was due out the band were supposed to play Manchester Ritz, however they cancelled the night before which left fans in doubt about the album and if it was going to live up to expectations. However the fans weren’t disappointed by what they were given. On Wednesday they released a video for the song Heart Of The Matter. This video is the bands most honest song and video to date, the band address serious issues with drug and alcohol abuse, which is what they have a reputation for. When posting the video on facebook they suggested those who felt affected by issues addressed to go to the talktofrank website. They explained that the unsettling subjects shouldn’t be shied away, and that they had to be faced head on. Watch the new video below, and find tickets for the upcoming tour.
